Behind every door that closes, another door opens. I remember the tears, sobbing cries and countless sympathetic regards to my father and i. She was laying there lifeless; her fragile body bruised and beaten. Kelly was more than just a step mother; she was my role model. She was a great woman of character whom i aspired to be, if only carrying partial aspects of her identity. On august 19th, 2009, only 3 short years ago, the one individual i expected to be there the rest of my life was gone. Her life was stolen by a tragic car accident only a few short miles from our home. An area we had driven through frequently that was undergoing construction. It all felt like a dream, how could a kind hearted giving soul be taken from her loved ones. At the age of thirty, kelly elizabeth morris sterling passed away. This tragic event left my father and i"s lives changed entirely.
