Document Summary
After the mongols and their great rule, it was seen that other empires tried to mimic how. Most commonly seen in europe in the nineteenth and twentieth century many countries in europe went on explorations to find new lands/people to rule and get wealth off these lands. This period time could be known as the imperialism era. Imperialism is the acquisition of new territories by a state and the incorporation of these territories into a political system as subordinate colonies. In other words nations try to expand their empire and make money off that territory. The united states received its independence through a hard fought battle with britain. Once they received it they were known as an empire across the world. United states went a different route from other european nations, specifically britain, with imperialism. In this paper i will analyze the difference between britain and america"s imperialism.
