Mongols tried to invade japan but was turned around by a typhoon (kamikaze) Japanese have been able to incorporate other cultures into their own. China was dominate at this time, but japan borrowed language and made it their own. Japan is mountainous and is not habitable by large #s of people. The people that are there are crowded on to coastal regions. Emperor was a symbol more than a ruler. Warfare was man to man/ made agreements where and when to fight. Changes we starting to be made in battle. Samurai start arming with spears and organizing the peasants. Peasants begin taking things into their own hands. Not a very efficient weapon due to 1 bullet &gun powder reload. Front line fire/ move and next line fire. In 1575 japanese were fighting with 10,000 gun men. Being having japanese christians due to daimyos forcing. Forced into christianity due to trade with portuguese.
