The election of 1932: the brains trust- all of the following programs were done in the first planning or thought. As a result, many of these programs caused unintended consequences. All of these things don"t resolve the problems of the depression; they simply put a band-aid on the problems at hand. There is not enough financially stability to spread across the board. However, these programs do stop the depression from getting any worse and make life much more bearable at the time. Hoover also loaned money to the banks, but he did it in a much smaller scale. Roosevelt, however, addresses the american people on radio this is the first time that the radio was used simply for the president to talk to the american people. These chats ended-up being called fireside chats because he was addressing people in their own homes talking to the american people.
