Functional- attention focus, how are we motivated, and fear or past experiences which will influence movement choice-more psychological. Stairs are not considered environmental, they are equipment. Ex-do you hug and kiss when you say hello-cultural differences. Goal of task-goal of an action that you are doing. Rules guiding task performance- in soccer you cant touch ball. Interaction of constraints-what comes out is your final movement choice. Longitudinal-and individual or group is observed over time. Cross-sectional- individuals or groups of different ages are observed. Sequential or mixed longitudinal: mini-longitudinal studies with overlapping ages.
