Course description: this is an introductory course in ordinary differential equations with a particular emphasis on solving linear differential equations. We will cover most (but not all) sections of the text. A list of topics to be covered can be found at list of topics. Exams: there will be three 50-minute in-class exams and one 2-hour comprehensive final exam. No make-up exams will be given, except in extreme cases. If you must miss an exam, you should notify the course instructor well prior to the exam, and the excuse must be a valid, fully documented one and one which is officially approved.
