Jnd(difference threshold)- smallest difference between 2 stimuli is detectable 50% of the time. Absolute threshold- lowest level of stimulation that a person can consciously detect. Stimuli below the level of conscious awareness are called subliminal stimuli. Habituation- the way the brain deals with unchanging information from the environment.
