Document Summary

Used an experimental model still used today that is called the nerve- Involved getting an animal, they used frogs, took the muscle and left a nerve attached to it. Then they stimulated the nerve and looked to see if they activated muscle: both conducted experiments that essentially showed the same thing, galvani thought these findings suggested that nervous systems use electricity. He proposed that these experiments proved the notion of animal electricity, and maybe ours did that too: volta pointed out an objection that there are many ways to stimulate the nervous system. He connected the legs with a wire and if you then touch this wire to a hook in the muscle of another frog, the leg twitches. There is in electrical current: first battery invented by galvani, which was made of frog"s running through the frogs. The more frogs" legs, the higher the current. This is the type of battery we end up using.
