This section was quite interesting because i had very little knowledge of hinduism before reading. I found it very surprising that the aryans sacrificed lots of different animals, because i always thought that hindus were always very protective of animals. I thought about the peyote that the native americans used when reading about the soma plant. I like that hindus only consider the vedas the only real book for their religion, because today you can find so many different versions of the bible to fit whatever your personal beliefs are. Not that it is a bad thing, but there"s less ambiguity with having a set book(s) for a religion. I agree with the quote the book uses when talking about brahman, those who worship ignorance enter blinding darkness . The quote made me think of the people. I passed today in free speech alley that were yelling about jesus and holding up offensive signs.
