Jahwist account of creation and the fall (gen2:4b-3:24) Older of the two creation accounts in genesis: differences from the priestly account, in the priestly account, god was known as elohim. In the jahwist account, human beings were created first. The order is completely reversed: in the priestly account, male and female were created at the same time, together. In the jahwist account, male and female are created in sequence. First the male, later the female: the jahwist writer uses an anthropomorphic (human-like) term to describe god.
