Sociology- the scientific study of social relationships, social institutes, and society focuses on social life and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Auguste comte is derived the word sociology from two root words: socius-"companion/associate" & logos- Socius and logos means words about human associations or society . Sociologist all suggest that sociology is concerned with every aspect of the self in relationships with others and every aspect of the social world that affects a persons thoughts or actions. Social life- encompasses all interpersonal relationships, all groups or collections of person, and all types of social organizations. Sociological perspective- the way to recognize patterns in social events and view personal experiences in the light of these patterns. Sociological perspective: empirical(based on observation or experience rather than preexisting idea) help determine whether our generalizations about society are accurate: wright mills-uses the definition of sociological imagination, when you see or experience something personal.
