Motion of summary judgment: judgment based of affidavits and other sworn evidence in discovery. Parties present and argue their cases before a judge or jury who will decide the issues in dispute. Voir dire- to tell the truth finding the jury ( 1st stage of trial) Certain number of strickes they can use to kick bias jurors off. At any point during the trial, trial motions can be filed.
