The previous research designs we have learned so far have been one variable or a statistical relationship between the variables. An example of a complex design is would be schnall"s experiment where the participant"s feeling of disgusted by seeing a clean or dirty room that has dirty dishes, wastebasket not taken out, and a chew up pen. There was various dependent variable that were used to measure how the participants felt. For example, self-report questionnaire, private body consciousness, the harness of people"s moral, and wiliness to eat at a new restaurant. In a complex design, there are multiple independent and dependent variable. Multiple dependent variable is a relationship between an independent variable and one primary dependent variable. In knasko"s experiment, her interest was in odor or no odor and how it would affect people"s creativity, mood, and perceived health. In a multiple dependent variable experiment, there could be a carryover effect.
