Societal changes > statutes (age difference >2yr difference under the age of 17) (religion ex. 1910-1920, prohibition period. 10 commandment crimes: murder, theft (value of theft=amount of time served, covet- sex crimes, battery-actually touching. > petty crime other countries: can have a penalty of death or torture (assault- the threat of touching(totally diff. crime in la)) Known to audience= more important (ex. celebs, politicians, wealthy) Person is the victim/ object types of crime- murder, battery, robbery(weapon is used- person is the one a sex crimes- rape, incest, crime against nature, ect arson crime is committed against)
