Chapter 1- the scientific method and critical thinking. The difference between inductive and deductive reasoning: inductive reasoning starts with collecting data and then finding a theory while deductive reasoning starts with an idea and then collects data to support the idea. This is because negatives can tell as much as the positives. Protein is one of the macromolecules that shows a great diversity in structure because it has a lot of functions such as support, enzymes etc. Lipids are the only macromolecule that is used for energy. Parts of india and middle east developed a mutation that lactase enzyme to stay active throughout adulthood. This would be that people with this mutation can digest more dairy products. The difference between a vitamin and a mineral: vitamin is organic which means that some organism had to make it before we consume. Minerals, on the other hand are inorganic: calories measure the amount of energy in food.
