Communicaion- a process by which people arrive at shared meanings through the interchange of messages. Communicaion researchers examine the processes by which meanings are created and managed: the above is the considered discipline of our study of communicaions this semester. Aristotle developed theories about the rhetoric, or persuasion. Communicaions scholars are troubled with the issue of having diferent vocabulary deiniions for diferent disciplines throughout communicaion studies. Diferent disciplines of communicaions are: communicaion and technology, group communicaion, health communicaion, instrucional communicaion, intercultural and internaional communicaion, interpersonal communicaion, language and symbolic codes, mass communicaion, organizaional communicaion, public communicaion. Within these disciplines are their own subgroups. Aciviies: communicaion associaions hold annual meeings or convenions in diferent locaions, papers are usually submited to these associaions. Newsleters and publicaions: many scholarly and professional organizaions publish many materials of interest to communicaion scholars, internal communicaion associaion, associaion for educaion in journalism and mass communicaion, the broadcast educaion associaion.
