Guerilla warfare = emotions are hidden, often intentionally. Denial-occurs most frequently; nv often contradict verbal. Ex: getting upset and then apologizing for getting so upset over nothing. Displacement-anger is inappropriately directed anger at the actual target you"re mad at. Ex: taking your anger out on an innocent victim; not the expressing. Pseudomutuality-does not allow discord to dispel perfect image. Ex: mad at them, but don"t let anyone know you"re mad at them. Ex: putting on this happy face, so everyone else thinks nothing is. Similar to being passive aggressive wrong; faking it. Ex: where something bothers you but you don"t bring it up at that time; making mental notes of things that bug you. One day they forget to replace the half and half and then you just explode on them from all these other things that bug you. Conflict pattern where conflict gets out of hand but rarely escalates into serious forms of violence.
