As you know, part of your final grade is the listening journal. This will involve you attending four on-campus concerts. There are two categories for these concerts: (1) free and (2) ticketed. For category 2, you can obtain low-priced student tickets by following the instructions below. This memo contains (i) information on how to obtain tickets and (ii) editorial guidelines for writing the journal: informati on obtaining tickets. Of your four concerts, at least one must be from. All the concerts you cover in your journal must be on campus. For concerts in category 1 you do not need a ticket. The noon concerts are a beloved campus institution that take place nearly every thursday from 12:05 to 1:00 in the recital hall of the pitzer center. These concerts are free and feature a variety of styles presented. Consult the music department calendar for information (http://arts. ucdavis. edu/calendar/2017-10): music department performances. Performances by music department faculty, ensembles, or students are also free.
