Speed- how far something will go in a certain amount of time. Acceleration- if velocity is changing in any way, whether in speed or direction or both. Acceleration can mean slowing down or speeding up. Slowing is a negative acceleration, causing velocity to decrease. Turning is a change in direction which therefore means a change in velocity, so turning is a form of acceleration even if speed remains constant. You can often feel the effects of acceleration. The acceleration of gravity is about 10 meters per second squared (10 ) Momentum- the product of an objects mass and its velocity; momentum= mass x velocity.
