The usa became a near hyperpower in the new world order after the collapse of the ussr in 1991. Clinton didn"t want to get too involved overseas and wanted to show that he was strong at home since we had already proven we are strong elsewhere. Fucked up in somalia and rwanda and the middle east but did well in. Had serious issues with giving jobs, what to do with weapons, it"s states, and whathaveyou. Putin came in to power and didn"t do much since he was already rich and just made the rich get on his side or face imprisonment: became aggressive on global scale, installed a russian form of democracy. Hollowed out independent parliament and free media. Had its struggled forming new countries and eradicating communism like with yugoslavia. Question of whether europe should become united or stay their own countries.
