Levels of measurement: the nature of the numbers associated with a particular set of observations, different types of data correspond to different levels of measurement, 4 levels, nominal. Interval: provides info about which participants have higher or lower scores and by how much participants differ. This type of comparison requires measurement with a true zero. Same difference between 20 and 30 as 55 and 65. Show the magnitude or frequency of one or more variables: used to depict group differences on measures such as frequency counts, percentages of occurrence, and group means, column graph, bar graph, line graph. Suitable for depicting several values in a series: used for showing a special nonlinear relationship called an interaction. Interactions occur when two or more groups respond in unique ways to the experimental manipulations.
