Paraphilic disorders: new term for sexual deviation, sexual arousal occurs primarily in the context of inappropriate objects or individuals. Gender dysphoria- there is incongruence and psychological distress and dissatisfaction with the gender one has been assigned at birth. Not sexual but a disturbance in the person"s sense of being a male or a female. Heterosexual behavior: sexual activity with members of the opposite gender. Homosexual behavior: sexual activity with members of the same gender. Higher percentage of men than women masturbate. Women are taught to associate sex with emotional intimacy. Maturabtion may be more convient to men. Women are less likely to consider casual sex a good time as men. There is no association between the number of sex partners and later anxiety or depression. No gender differences are in attitudes about homosexuality, the experience of sexual satisfaction, or attitudes toward masturabation.
