Psychology- the scientific study of the mind, brain and behaviors. Soul + study fields include both normal and abnormal levels of analysis (ladder) more complex as you go up psychology studies all rungs of the ladder. Multiply determined outcome is produced by many factors. It is hard to pinpoint one reason why a disorder had occurred. Individual differences each person responds to everything in different ways. Reciprocal determinism the fact that we mutually influence each others behaviors. Why we can"t always trust our common sense. Na ve realism the belief that we see the world precisely as it is. Empiricism a primary knowledge that is acquired through observation. Scientific theory an account that ties many things together and can be tested (an explanation) Theories have been tested many times and have still held up. Confirmation bias to seek out evidence that supports our beliefs. Belief perseverance to stick to out initial beliefs even when evidence contradicts them.
