This allows you to play around with the canons of rhetoric that you can use in your paper. Subheading a useful tactic when going from a outline into a final draft. This allows you to stick to your roadmap and make the transitions a lot easier to come up with. Literary symbolism throughout the sub headers add cohesiveness to an essay. Transitions needed no matter what to ensure the ideas flow together.
