Translation involves rna-rna interaction: mrna and rrna. rrna holds the mrna in the ribosome. trna and rrna interact. Protein synthesis can be divided into four stages: treaded through it. The ribosomes reads the mrna 5" - 3". The polypeptide chain grows in an n (amino) to c (carboxyl) terminal direction. As the polypeptide chain grows, it moves towards the 5" end. At the end, amino acids attach to the 3" end of the trna.
