What"s happening in mimbres is possibly about the kachina religion, which is not kiva specific though it does utilize them. Kachina is out in the open and is a lot more accessible by everyone in comparison to the secret societies of the kiva religion. Clearly have kivas, may be a push back against kachina religion, trying to be what chaco was as far as unification of the region goes. Along same n-s axis as chaco and paquime later. Fails eventually after about a century, when it does is when warfare breaks out likely between different ethnic puebloan groups, plus the navajo migrating in and everything. Cliff houses, built when warfare breaks out. Clearly has kivas, right up there in the cliffs with the houses, maintaining the kiva religion. Kachina religion is very peaceful functionally, especially in comparison to the kiva religion which does allow for more opportunity for elites to gain power,
