In the secrets of voodoo film, several rituals are performed in voodoo religion including transference, possession, the use of herbs, purification and appeasing the gods. Outsiders who do not practice this religion usually say that voodoo is evil and that it symbolizes power and it is sinister (secrets of voodoo). For example, some people believed that voodoo dolls were used for evil intentions. In voodoo, the transference dolls were considered powerful because the person was able to focus their healing power and send the healing to different parts of the body through the doll. Rosanne o"conner came to mambo angelia for healing because she was not able to have a child. She was given a spiritual bath in the waterfall that was blessed by the gods to be purified, so that she was able to achieve her goal of having a child. This brought healing and hope that the deity would bring her a miracle.
