Useful in generating ideas for objective reports required in business and industry. Questions: who, what, when, where, why, and how. Useful when you already have a topic and several major points you want to cover. Under each main point, there are several minor point that support the main point: major point 1. Supporting point 2: major point 2. After you have generated ideas, put your ideas into paragraph form. Revising means adding, deleting, and rearranging material in your essay. You should revise any piece of writing as many times as needed until you feel you have met the requirements of the assignment. You move to the editing stage when you are satisfied with the content and arrangement of your essay. Effective strategy: read your paper aloud from back to front. Last sentence of your paper to the first sentence on the 1st page.
