4 Principals of interviewing
•Prepare carefully familiarizing yourself with as much background as possible. Look at
interviewees social media.
•Establish a relationship with the source conductive to obtaining information
•Ask questions that are relevant to the source and that induce the source to talk
•Listen and watch attentively
Write from the middle of your essay.
Types of questions
•Direct questions-
•Open and closed ended question-Could be answered in general terms
•Tough questions-Question might embarrass or offend the interviewee.
•Kissinger the cowboy
•Intrusive questions
•Junk questions-Don’t tell people what you know.
