In order to understand the poisson distribution, one must first understand the binomial distribution, for example, which of these chips pringles or lays is more loved or if they are equally loved. Assume we asked 3 people if they love pringles or lays. Due to two people prefer pringles and one person prefer lays we can then assume the probability is 0. 5. Now 0. 125 is the probability of two persons prefer pringles and one person prefers lays potato chips, it is not the probability that any two out of three persons prefer pringles.
