One of the main things we hope students learn in an introductory course is how broad-scale conditions in- fluence things as seemingly individualized as everyday lives. Understanding this idea is a cornerstone of the sociological perspective and one of the main lessons learned in introductory courses. Is to help students understand how the increasingly global character of society affects day-to-day realities. Thus, we use a global perspective to examine how global changes are affecting all parts of life within the united states, as well as other parts of the world.
