High school students who are willing to go to ASU for their undergrads for majoring in Computer Science, should prepare for the major using these following tips. College is not just about studying but much more. Therefore to be ahead of other students in classes, start studying below topics :

1. Calculus

Calculus is basically the branch of mathematics that deals with the finding and properties of derivatives and integrals of functions, by methods originally based on the summation of infinitesimal differences. To succeed in ASU as a computer science student, math plays a vital role and especially calculus. Students should study calculus one and two in their holidays to decrease their burden during their first year.

2. JAVA Programming

Java was designed to have the look and feel of the C++ language, but it is simpler to use than C++ and enforces an object-oriented programming model. ASU also offers JAVA programming as the programming language for the freshmen. JAVA needs a lot of practice and logic development. Studying it before the college starts can help a lot in the logic development part.

3. Any type of Internship

Everyone knows that paying for college is difficult. One should do any type of internship not to earn money, but to learn the value of money. Internships are key to building experience as a student or recent graduate. Employers are much more likely to hire someone with internships and work experience rather than someone with a generic resume. Also, the internship can help to increase maturity and attain self-independence.

4. Time management

Most likely college will be the first time in your life that you will have the flexibility and independence to set your own schedule. As much as you may be reveling in your new-found freedom, you will soon discover that managing your coveted free or unstructured time will be more difficult than you had planned. Up through high school, your time was more than likely structured and organized, with clear reminders of what you had to do, and where you needed to be.

All in all, try to follow the above tips if you tend to become a Computer Science student. It’ll definitely help you with your studies.

Hopefully, this information will help you to get a good GPA 🙂
