If you're considering a career in business, you're probably also considering rushing a professional business fraternity. If you're on the fence or need some help making a decision, here's some more information about the two major business fraternities on campus:

Alpha Kappa Psi, Omega Zeta Chapter

Commonly referred to as "AKPsi," this fraternity is the nation's oldest and largest co-ed business fraternity with hundreds of chapters across the United States. Brothers of AKPsi boast lifelong friendships and professional connections made thanks to the fraternity. Who can rush?: Anyone with an interest in business (business major is not required) that is second semester at Binghamton University. AKPsi is co-ed. What is AKPsi involved in?: AKPsi is involved in numerous community service activities (such as their annual food drive), social activities (including apple picking and formal), and professional development activities (hosting notable alumni or firm representatives, for example.) When do rush events start?: The first Rush event for the Spring 2018 semester is PFC United Rush on January 28th at 6:00pm in the Mandela Room of the Union. For more information, visit the AKPsi website.

Delta Sigma Pi, Kappa Lambda Chapter

Delta Sigma Pi, also known as "DSP," was the first business fraternity at Binghamton  University. This professional fraternity is founded on the values of brotherhood, professionalism, and community service. Who can rush?: School of Management students or students majoring in Economics or Actuarial Sciences with at least 12 credits from Binghamton University. DSP is co-ed. Additionally, brothers of DSP are involved in soup kitchens, elementary school visits, and pancreatic cancer research as ways to better their community. DSP also boasts a significant campus engagement through organizations and courses as well. Be sure to reach out to the Rush Chairs of each  fraternity to solidify your decision between the two fraternities. Whichever you choose, remember that all Binghamton alums are connected by their stories at Binghamton University, and that the opportunities extend far beyond the bonds of brotherhood.
