Central Washington University is a public university that is home to over 11,000 students. It is located in Ellensburg, Washington and was first founded in 1891. Students have a wide-array of opportunities right at the foot of their doorstep here at CWU! Now, there are a number of buildings on this campus. Some are designated by departments or even for usage. Some are also designated for student housing. We are here to talk about those that are dedicated to academic and campus life. 1. Black Hall

This building is the home of Black Hall. Students will find the Central Diversity and Equity Center and the Multicultural Center here. This building is also home to the departments of education, professional studies, aviation, and other departments as well.
2. Brooks Library

The Brooks Library is the hub for academic learning and features a wide variety of resources and services. IT houses the ARC Study Lounge, Student Commons, and Jimmy B's on the first floor. It also houses books, collections, periodicals, and computers.
3. McConnell Hall

This building is home to McConnell Hall. Students will find the McConnell Auditorium which features a number of productions such as Mary Poppins and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It also houses the Milo Smith Tower Theatre that seats 300 people.
4. McIntyre Music Building

This building is the home of the Jerilyn S. McIntyre Music Building. Students will be able to find the Music Building Concert Hall, rehearsal rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, and offices for the School of Music. Students will also find individual practice rooms.

This building is the home to Michaelsen Hall. It houses the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Students will find classrooms for programs such as family studies, apparel merchandising, and textiles, wine studies, and events management.
6. Psychology Building

This building is the home to the department of psychology for graduate and undergraduate students. Students will be able to find the Community Counseling and Psychological Assessment Center, classrooms for psychology classes, and offices.
7. Randall Hall

This building houses the departments of art and design. This hall houses large studios, the Sarah Spurgeon Art Gallery, and tools for painting, drawing, metal-smithing, photography, ceramics, and a computer lab for students, staff, and faculty.
8. Science Building

This building is the Science Building. This building is the home of the departments of biological sciences and chemistry. It features a number of renovated laboratories for teaching and research, classrooms, and a large aquarium.
9. Shaw-Smyser Hall

The Shaw-Smyser Hall is the home to the College of Business which features programs in management, business, and marketing. Students will also be able to find classrooms, lecture halls, a computer lab, and lounge areas around the building.
10. Tomlinson Stadium

Tomlinson Stadium was recently rennovated. It was named after former football player, Jack Tomlinson. It serves as the main outdoor facility for the Wildcat football, rugby, and soccer teams. It seats over 4,000 people around the stadium.
