College will be stressful, especially during final exam week. However, by taking easier courses, you are enabling yourself to find a balance and to eliminate stress. Below we have compiled a list of 10 of the easiest courses to take at CUNY-Medgar Evers College.

1. AGRO 105 – Skills for Urban Living

In this course, students will learn about the survival skills that is needed to live in an urban setting. Students will learn about issues related to urban cities, education, crime prevention, banking, rights of the tenant, and social groups. A skyline view of New York City.  

2. AGRO 301 – Achievement Motivation

This class is designed to help students through their journey for self-discovery. Students will learn about setting goals for themselves on an academic and personal level, interpersonal relationships, and analyzing your career choices. A sign that says motivation.  

3. ENGL 333 – The Body in Place and Culture

In this class, students will learn about the body of an individual among different societies. Students will learn about a variety of topics which include barriers, sexuality, borders, migration, trafficking, racial profiling, and discourses. People celebrating with body paint.  

4. MASS 473 – Black Arts

This class will examine the creative arts in Africa and how it has played a role in the "New World." Students will learn about African music, dance, visual art, literature, film, and theater. Students will also learn how the creative arts have influenced the world. An image of a black female.  

5. MUS 409 – Music Recording

In this course, students will learn about the basics of music recording. Students will participate in class discussions, lectures, and will even have a chance to record their own music in a lab. Topics to be discussed include microphone design, processors, sequencing, and mixing. A woman singing song lyrics.  

6. ENVS 401 – Ground Water

In this course, students will learn about the foundations of groundwater from a scientific and technical perspective. Students will learn about the development of groundwater and its resources, contamination, and groundwater technology. A diagram of where groundwater comes from.  

7. PHS 101 – Introduction to Physical Sciences

This class will touch base on the basic laws and principles of physical science. Topics to be discussed include the physical properties of substances, the motion of atoms, molecules, energy, and the interaction between atoms.

8. CIS 101 – Computer Fundamentals

In this course students will learn about the fundamental principles for computing and information systems. Students will receive hands-on topics for topics related to hardware, software, telecommunication, networks, and the Internet. A person working on multiple computers.

9. SPCH 102 – Fundamental of Speech

Do you give a good and effective speech? This class will touch base on the fundamentals of speech and preparation for speeches. Topics to be discussed include poetry, prose, reading out loud, talking in front of your peers, and vocabulary development. A person giving a speech in front of an audience.  

10. DNCE 251 – African Dance I

In this class, students will learn about the history of African dance and culture. This class is designed to help students develop a better understanding on the many traditions, lifestyles, and cultures that come from West Africa. African dancers performing on stage.  
 College will be a time for self-discovery and finding your balance. By taking a mix of hard and easy classes, you're setting yourself up to be stress-free throughout the semester.
