BITE 2000 is a one semester hour course at East Carolina University that is required by all teaching education degrees. The class helps a student to master Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access. It goes through the basic technology competencies on each of these programs. There are two options to complete the course. One of these options involve going to class once a week all semester long. The other option involves going to two class periods (the first two weeks) and completing the course in two weeks. The class can easily be finished in two weeks, and it is wise to get the class out of the way early to focus on the rest of your course load.

How can the course be finished in two weeks to prevent future stress? The course is a technology course, so all of the work is completed online. All of the work is completed on Pearson MyITLab. Therefore, you can go to the first class period and get the course info and then go back home and do all of the work within the first two weeks. The two weeks of classes usually are a light work load, so most college students would be able to spend about an hour a day to work on the course in the first two weeks. This is all it takes. An hour a day for fourteen days or less and you can be done with a course in two weeks.

How can you save money by completing BITE 2000 within two weeks? Pearson offers a two week free trial to use the MyITLab that the course requires. After the trial, the MyITLab costs over $50. That’s a lot of money when you are already spending $16,000+ on college.

BITE 2000 is a great course to take in order to become competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access. Especially if you are not competent in Microsoft Word, it is a great class to get a feel for this program for your future career. It is a class that can only take two weeks to complete, and it’s a small price to pay (an hour of your time each day) to become competent in these programs.
