College is a time to learn about yourself and other topics. You will find that your stress levels may go up because you aren't exactly used knowing how to maintain a well-balanced schedule. Taking easier courses will allow you to make your own transition run a lot smoother. Below are 10 of the easiest courses you can take at Lafayette College.

1. ART 109 Drawing I
This course will give students will learn about the fundamental approaches and techniques for drawing. This course will also allow students to explore human and other natural forms to draw inanimate objects. This class will also allow students to develop their hand technique.
2. MUS 101 Music, Culture, Context
In this course students will explore how music has influenced the past and the present in politics, the economy, society, and technology. This course will explore how music has shaped and changed the history of mankind and how it will continue to play a big part in our world.
3. ART 155 Digital Photography I
This course is designed to introduce students to digital photography. Students will learn about the history of photography as well. Other topics to be touched upon include Photoshop, operating a camera, proper equipment usage, and scenery.
4. AFS 102 Introduction to Africana Studies
Africa is one of the most diverse continents in the world. This course will introduce students to the field of Africana Studies. Students will learn about Africa and its enriching history through anthropological texts, videos, documentaries, music, and in class discussions and lectures.
5. CHEM 102 A Chemical Perspective
In this course, students will not only learn about the basic concepts of chemistry, but they will also learn how chemistry plays a role in our world. Topics to be discussed include societal problems, criminal investigations in forensics, and how the world is influenced by this field.
6. FAMS 101 Introduction to Film and Media Studies
This course is designed to help students understand the fundamental concepts of film and media studies. Students will learn about lighting, editing a video, audio recording, the film industry and how film has impacted our society.
7. MUS 193 New York Jazz Experience
Students will have the chance to immerse themselves into New York's jazz community. Students will be given the opportunity to sit in on jam sessions and concerts, have conversations with musical artists, and watch documentaries on the jazz scene in the United States.
8. THTR 107 Introduction to Theater
This course will introduce students to the theater. Through hands-on activities and masterclasses with professionals, students will be given the opportunity to improve and develop their own theatrical skills as well. This course is designed to help students understand the importance of theater from the start to finish of a production.
9. PSYC 110 Introduction to Psychological Science
Students will have the chance to study their own behavior and the way the brain operates in this course. This course is meant to introduce students to the field of psychology and how it plays a role in our society. Topics to be discussed include human and animal behavior, nature of thinking, and scientific approaches for discovering different parts of the brain.
10. PHIL 101 Introduction to Philosophy
New ideas come about everyday that help to shape the world to what it is today. In this course, students will learn about philosophy and the art of thinking. Topics to be discussed include philosophical ideas, problems that society faces, personal identity, reality, and fantasy.
College will test your boundaries, and your stress levels. Taking easier courses as you transition and get into the swing of things will allow you to find your own momentum and motivation to do things. This is also a great way to boost your GPA and maintain a well-balanced school and social life.
