The New Jersey Institute of Technology is a public research university in Newark, New Jersey. It is the alma mater of famous alumni Konda Vishweshwar Reddy. He went to school for engineering which is very math-intensive major. He later became a leader in congress for India. There are plenty of different math courses offered at the school, here are 10 to get you started.

1. MATH 112 - Calculus II

In calculus II, students will learn about integration and applications of integration, including different types of series. As a calculus student, you will be expected to know and work with exponential and logarithmic functions, transcendental functions, polar coordinates, and conic sections.

The course is worth 4 credits and is 5 hours a week. The instructor of the course is Professor Je Hyun Ro. In order to register for the course, you must have completed successfully MATH 111 with a grade of C or better or MATH 132 with a grade of C or better.

2. MATH 111 - Calculus I

In calculus I students will be exposed to limits. Students will learn about differentiation. You will learn about applications of differentiation, and integration. This course is needed for a wide range of fields.

In order to register for the course, you must have completed the prerequisite of MATH 110 with a grade of C or better or MATH 139 with a grade of B or better, or placement by performance on standardized entrance examinations. Je Hyun Ro is the professor of the course. The course is worth 4 credit hours.

3. MATH 138 - General Calculus I

This course covers an introduction to differential and integral calculus of a single variable. You will be expected to learn formulas as well as use the formulas to complete equations as used in homework and examination. The course is not for students who are in science or engineering. The professor of the course is Je Hyun Ro. The course is worth 3 credit hours and is 3 hours weekly.

4. MATH 211 - Calculus III A

This calculus course covers vectors. Students will learn about curvature, partial derivatives, multiple integrals, and line integrals. Students will also be taught on Green's theorem.

Students who are considering a major in Mathematical Sciences or who are undecided about their major should take MATH 213 instead. In order to take the course, you must have completed MATH 112 with a grade of C or better or MATH 133 with a grade of C or better. Je Hyun Ro is the instructor of the course.

5. MATH 337 - Linear Algebra

This course covers matrices and determinants. Students will learn about systems of linear equations, vector spaces, and linear transformations. Students will also learn about eigenvalues, eigenvectors, and related topics.

The course is only able to be taken if the student has successfully completed MATH 112 with a grade of C or better or MATH 133 with a grade of C or better. The instructor of the course is Je Hyun Ro.

6. MATH 333 - Probability and Statistics

Random Variables in the use of coins

This course covers descriptive statistics and statistical inference. The various topics include discrete and continuous distributions of random variables. Students will also learn about statistical inference for the mean and variance of populations and graphical analysis of data.

In order to register for the course, students must have completed MATH 112 with a grade of C or better or MATH 133 with a grade of C or better. The course is worth 3 credit hours and 3 contact hours. The professor of the course is Jon Porus.

7. MATH 213 - Calculus III B

Calculus III covers topics such as vectors and curvature. Students will learn about partial derivatives and multiple integrals. Students will also learn about line integrals, and Green's, divergence, and Stokes' theorems.

The course is worth 4 credit hours and 4 contact hours. The instructor of the course is Jon Porus. In order to register for the course, students must have completed MATH 112 with a grade of C or better or MATH 133 with a grade of C or better.

8. MATH 110 - University Mathematics B II - Trigonometry

This course covers trigonometric functions and identities. Students will be exposed to the laws of sines and cosines. Students will learn about logarithmic equations, systems of nonlinear equations, polar coordinates.

The course is worth 4 credit hours and is 5 hours per week. The course is intended for students who are required to take Math 111. Jon Porus is the instructor of the course. The prerequisite of the course is credit in
MATH 108 or placement by performance on standardized entrance examinations.

9. MATH 222 - Differential Equations

This course covers methods for solving ordinary differential equations. Students will learn the differential equations formulas and their applications. Students will also learn about Laplace transforms numerical solutions and series solutions.

The course requires successful completion of MATH 112 with a grade of C or better or MATH 133 with a grade of C or better. The instructor of the course is Mattew Michal. The course is worth 4 contact hours and 4 credit hours.

10. MATH 309 - Mathematical Analysis for Technology

This course covers partial derivatives. Students will learn to use applications in vector calculus. Students will also learn how to use multiple integrals. If you are a student who is looking to work in the field of manufacturing or technology then this is a great math course to take.

The instructor of the course is Professor Matthew Michal. The prerequisite of the course is the completion of MATH 112 with a grade of C or better, or MATH 133 with a grade of C or better or MATH 238 with a grade of C or better. The curse is worth 4 credit hours and 4 contact hours.

New Jersey Institute of Technology is a school with a wide variety of math courses to enroll in. The school has classes that helps student review concepts in high school math as precalculus and foundations of math.
