While science can be awesome and exciting, it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. And biology and physics can seem daunting to someone who doesn’t love science. Luckily, there are easy science classes at Penn State that are bearable and won’t screw up your GPA just because you do not like science.
This class is a legend at Penn State. It is almost initiation into the school to take this class. The class is Environmental Science. The reason this class gets so much attention is its lack of tests. That’s right – no tests at all. In fact, most of the TAs are related to English majors. The class is very writing based, but if you do the work, it is a very easy A. The professor is also a treat.
This may sound crazy, but take Entomology. It sounds boring, but it is much more interesting than it seems. Entomology is the study of insects and bugs. The professor is nice, and he lets you take the final a week early which is awesome. This class is a very easy A.
This class is Oceanography. While attendance can be kind of a killer, a portion of every test is always open note and collaborative. Also, the study guides are almost exact replicas of the test. If you do the study guides, you are guaranteed an A in the class. Oh, and the final is open note if that is an incentive.
While science might not be for everyone, that doesn’t mean it must be torturous. By taking these class, you have a good time while getting an easy A. These classes are all fun, and they are way easier than any biology class.
