There are many options when it comes to choosing your home away from home. Your job, however, is to find the one that suits your needs. Where is the bathroom? Will you share a room? How much space do I have to myself? These are all questions we all ask when we move. Luckily, we have listed some of the top residences at Salem State University below.

1. Marsh Hall 

Marsh Hall Address: Lafayette St, Salem, MA 01970 This residence hall is open to more than 500 first year students and up. Students living here will live in double or triple rooms that are located on each of the five floors. Each floor also offers private bathrooms.

2. Atlantic Hall

Atlantic Hall Address: Lafayette St, Salem, MA 01970 This residence hall overlooks the Salem Bike Path and Marsh Quad. Students living here are located on central campus. Students will also find themselves living in a six person apartment. There are two double rooms and two single rooms.

3. Bates Complex

Bates Complex Address: Lafayette St, Salem, MA 01970 This residence hall is home to over 360 juniors and seniors. Students living here will live in a six person apartment. Students have the option of living in a townhouse as well that features double and single rooms.

4. Bowditch Hall

Bowditch Hall Address: Lafayette St, Salem, MA 01970 This residence hall is geared towards first year students. Students will live in a double, triple, or quad style room. All rooms are single gender or co-ed. Students will have a chance to live in a traditional style dorm.

5. Viking Hall

Viking Hall Address: Lafayette St, Salem, MA 01970 This residence hall is one of the newest on campus. Students living here will live in double or single rooms. Each room is suite style. Students get fully furnished rooms and private bathrooms that connect to another room.

6. Peabody Hall

Peabody Hall Address: Lafayette St, Salem, MA 01970 This residence hall features double, triple, and quad style rooms. Students living here are typically first year students who will live on one of the seven floors. Students will also have access to lounge areas and study rooms.

7. The Landing at Vinnin Square

The Landing at Vinnin Square 330 Paradise Rd, Swampscott, MA 01907 This apartment features one, two, and three bedrooms. Residents who live here will also have their own private bedrooms and share a private bathroom. They will also have access to a pool.

8. Princeton Crossing

Princeton Crossing Address: 12 Heritage Dr, Salem, MA 01970 This apartment complex features one and two bedroom apartments. Those who live here have access to an outdoor pool and a fitness center. There are also many lounge areas where students will have a chance to relax outside of their own apartment.

9. Bell at Salem Station

If you choose to live here, you'll be able to live in a one, two, or three bedroom apartment. Students will enjoy living in an amazing space!

10. Hawthorne Commons

Hawthorne Commons Address: 205 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970 Choosing to live here will give students a chance to experience off campus living. Students will have a chance to live in a one, two, or three bedroom apartment. This complex features a courtyard and access to other facilities as well.
