There are a number of buildings on any college campus. This is due to the fact that many students are studying different things and school may offer different levels of programming. Below are some of the buildings you need to know at Southern Connecticut State University.

1. Granoff Student Health Center

This building is home to the Student Health Center which allows students to receive primary care right on campus. This center also houses a pharmacy and counseling services. All of the faculty, staff, students, and trained physicians are here to help you at anytime during regular business hours.

2. John Lyman Center for the Performing Arts

This center is home to the performing arts. It features two performing spaces and an art gallery located in the library. The most popular part of this center is the 1,500 fixed seat main-stage auditorium that allows for people to enjoy theatre, dance, and music performances.

3. Wintergreen Building

This building is the home for student enrollment services. These services includes Admissions, the Registrar's Office, the office of Financial Aid, the Bursar's Offices. The Human Resources department is also located in this building as well, but is situated with a separate entrance.

4. Engleman Hall

This building is home to Engleman Hall. It was one of the first buildings to be built for the campus. It houses the university's classrooms, various academic departments, the Bagel Wagon, and a number of conference rooms for events.

5. Davis Hall

This building is home to the School of Education. It also houses a number of other centers. This includes the departments within the School of Health and Human Services, the Center for Communication Disorders, the Center for Adaptive Technology, and the Center of Excellence on Autism Spectrum Disorders.

6. Adanti Student Center

This building is home to the Student Center. It is the center for campus life and learning. Here, students will be able to have access to the fitness center, recreational center, the campus bookstore, a movie theater, the food court, and the multicultural center.

7. Connecticut Hall

This building is home to Connecticut Hall. It is the campus's primary dining location for students, staff, and faculty. Currently, it offers the campus a wide variety of choices. This includes comfort foods, pizzas, meat, vegetarian options, and vegan options.

8. Buley Library

This library is the core of academic life. It is home to the Bulley Library. It offers students the chance to really study up for finals and have a sanctuary to study! Students will have access to millions of database resources online, books in the library, computers, printing, copying, and more!

9. Alumni House

This building currently houses the Alumni House. It is home to the Alumni Relations Team, the Directory of Community Engagement, the Director of Integrated Communications and Marketing, and a number of lounge areas for people to utilize.

10. Academic Science and Laboratory Building

This building is home to the scientific programs. Students will have access to a number of research and teaching laboratories, classrooms, study rooms, meeting rooms, and state-of-the-art equipment. Students will also be able to have access to the offices for faculty within several departments.

Southern Connecticut State University is a public university that is home to over 8,000 students. It is located in New Haven, Connecticut. Students will be able to study a wide array of majors and receive specialized services as well to help them better their experiences inside and outside of student-life.
