A student (whose name will be left confidential) from Monash University in Australia was having an average day. They drove to campus, parked their car and went to class like any other student would. Sounds normal right? It was, until this student’s car went viral on social media after forgetting to put on the hand brake.

The vehicle rolled straight into the road out of the parking lot, until fellow student and pedestrian George Triafylos reverse parked the car back into position by pushing the vehicle back into the parking lot. I guess you can say that thankfully no one was hurt from this incident and luckily there was someone to move the car before any damages could occur to the vehicle.

Although the question still stands that even though Triafylos was able to push the car back, the break was still not on… so how DID he get the car to stay in place until the owner got out of class?

Simple! Why waste an ETC1D00 Essentials of Business Analytics Prescribed Hardcover Textbook that you are never going to actually open, when you can use it as a wheel chock for someone else’s run away car. As stated in the comments even students like Eddie Barnes can agree that this was,

“Literally the most useful that textbook has ever been.”

I myself as a student, don’t think I could have agreed more with this statement as I have come to my own conclusion that many high-priced textbooks in which we are told to buy for mandatory use are barely or if that never opened during the time span of the course it is for in the first place.

A funny comment was also left by Triafylos himself in response on the post where he said, “That’s why we have hardcover editions.” He also could not have been more right!

Above is a picture of the solution to the issue made by Triafylos, which went viral over Facebook after he posted it in hopes that the student who owned the vehicle would see it. Clearly, the post got more attention than he thought it would! Here are some of the comments:

I am a 3rd year Arts student currently attending Wilfrid Laurier University. I enjoy writing, it is a passion I have had since a young age and I hope to continue to do it in the future as it is a means of expression and opinion. A bit about me, I am also very artistic but love my sports as well. My writing will consist of many different topics and genres around WLU and University life in general, so be prepared for some interesting reads! Buzzfeed is my future goal!
