Many college students are left taking difficult classes throughout a given semester. However, not every class has to be difficult. There are some that will allow you to put very little effort into them while still maintaining an A. Below are 10 of the easiest courses to take at the University of Surrey!

1. DAN1008 – MOVEMENT ANALYSIS I: EXPERIENTIAL ANATOMY

In this course, students will gain a better understanding on how the body works and how to be aware of your own body movement while dancing. Students will have a chance to explore the anatomy of the human body and how they can use these to their advantage while dancing.

2. DMA1009 – THE ART OF VISUAL STORY TELLING

What’s your story? This course will introduce students to the art of story telling through creative writing and visual effects. This course will help students develop and implement their communication skills into a visual work.

3. FVP1008 – FILM PRODUCTION

This class is designed to help students develop and improve their film production skills. Topics to be covered include lighting, how to operate a camera, how to place microphones for quality sound, and editing skills.

4. DAN1011 – CONTEMPORARY DANCE PRACTICES 1

In this course, students will learn about the techniques and practices for contemporary dance. This class is also designed to help students gain a better understanding on how modern dance has evolved from the 20th to the 21st century.

5. AMT1003 – ACTING AND MOVEMENT 1

As an actor, you must be well aware of your own surroundings.  This class will touch base on the art of moving on stage during a theatrical production. Students will learn how to utilize their space and move as needed on stage in this course!

6. AMT1006 – MUSICIANSHIP 1

Any musician or someone who aspires to be one must have good musicianship. This course will touch base on various practices and techniques for being a good musician. Topics to be covered include practicing, performing, and even teamwork.

7. ECO1014 – INTRODUCTORY ECONOMICS

Where does all of your hard-earned money go once you spend it? This course will touch base on the principles and basic concepts of economics. Topics to be covered in this course include the world economy, the global market, inflation, and pricing of goods.

8. SOC1023 – INTRODUCTION TO CLASSICAL SOCIOLOGICAL THINKERS

This course will touch base on the history and principles of sociology. Students will also learn about major sociologists such as Marx, Weber, and Durkheim. This class will cover the individual in a society and how society is structured.

9. BMS1042 – ANATOMY & KINESIOLOGY

In this course, students will learn about the fundamental concepts of kinesiology and anatomy. Topics to be covered include how to identify and classify bones, joints and muscles, the function of human organs, and the movements of the body.

10. POL1012 – INTRODUCTION TO POLITICS: POWER AND THE STATE

What are your political views? In this course, students will learn how politics play a role in our world, the structure of political power, different government models, debates, the head of the state, and the nature of politics in our world now.
