1. Student Health Center

The Student Health Center is a great resource for students who need primary care and can’t leave campus. Students can come in with an appointment to meet with a health professional if they are sick or need a checkup or advice. This service is great for students in need of non urgent medical care.

2. Birth Control and STD Testing Clinic

UC Santa Cruz offers students with a clinic to get birth control prescriptions, as well as get tested for STDs. This clinic is very useful and relevant for college students, and helps promote the health of UC Santa Cruz students on campus.

3. Counseling and Psychological Services

The Counseling and Psychological Services is for students in need of mental health care. Students can come in to meet with a counselor or other mental health professional to discuss their problems and find out how they can solve or alleviate them.

4. Dominican Hospital

Dominican Hospital is a local Santa Cruz hospital with a fully equipped 24/7 emergency room. Students and local Santa Cruz people use this hospital to attend to their urgent medical needs. This hospital offers many useful services for those who use it.

5. Student Health Outreach and Promotion 


The Student Health Outreach and Promotion office implements programs for students that teach the UCSC campus about how to live healthier lives. This office educates students about sexual health, drug and alcohol health, and other relevant college health issues.
