UMass Amherst offers many interesting and fun courses every year! Here are 10 of the Coolest Classes at UMass Amherst!

1. EDUC 293A – Love and Work 

Learn about how to find jobs, how to love your job, how to switch jobs, and all kinds of skills you need for life after school.

2. Scuba Diving

With the department of environmental conservation, learn how to scuba dive!!

3. Education 202 – Intergroup Dialogue

You learn so much about talking about uncomfortable subjects, and how to make a positive difference in the world. It’s more than just a classroom experience, you learn how to apply what you learn.

4. Craft Center

The craft center has AWESOME classes you can take and learn all kinds of crazy new skill. Don’t leave UMASS without at least trying a class!

5. Ceramics

Want to make cool things, or just pretend Patrick Swayze is holding you from behind? It’s a very fun time either way.

6. ASTRON 100 – Exploring the Universe

We are made of stars, you find out about stars to find out more about yourself.

7. Kayaking

Love the outdoors, love being on the water, learn how to kayak!!

8. STOCKSCH 120 – Organic Farming and Gardening

Interesting people, unique subject, worth taking!

9. MICROBIO 160 – Biology of Cancer and AIDS

Learn about deadly diseases, although quite morbid, it’s still very interesting.

10.  Education 392I

Take a 1 credit 2 day class to learn about Transgender Oppression, Racism, Classism, or Youth Oppression.Social Issues Weekend Workshops
