Health and Wellness Services at University of Nebraska - Lincoln

The University of Nebraska Lincoln is a public research university in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is the oldest university in Nebraska, as well as the largest school in the University of Nebraska system. Here’s 5 of their health and wellness services!

1. University Health Center

The University Health Center is a great service for students in need of primary care and health advice. This service is open to all students who make an appointment with a health professional, but they also accept walk ins. Students can come in to the health services to receive prescriptions, get general health advice, get diagnoses, and more.

2. Immunization Clinic

The immunization clinic is meant to provide students with the proper immunizations that they need throughout the year to stay healthy. This service is already covered by student fees. The most popular use for this clinic is for the flu shot during flu season!

3. Counseling and Psychology Services

The Counseling and Psychology Services helps UNL students with their mental health problems and concerns. This service provides students with advice or counseling about their stresses, concerns, and/or mental disorders. Many college students experience mental health issues throughout their time in school, making this a very useful service.

4. CHI Health St. Elizabeth

This hospital was founded in 1889 and currently has 260 beds. They have a fully operating emergency room that is open 24 hours. CHI Health St. Elizabeth is a close drive from campus, making it a well used hospital by UNL students.

5. Allergy Clinic

The allergy clinic is another useful service offered by the University Health Center. This service provides students with proper allergy control therapies such as allergy shots or allergy medications. Any students with allergy concerns can come to this clinic to receive specialized help.
