Campus 2

The University of New Hampshire is a great institution, and there’s no arguing that. However, what are the top 5 best things about being a student here at UNH? Here are just a few reasons why being a wildcat is great for everyone enrolled at UNH.

1. You get to live on a beautiful campus.

There is no doubt that UNH has a gorgeous campus. Being able to call it your home for a few years is a great feeling for any UNH student. Being able to enjoy the sun on T-Hall lawn, or walk down Main St. with friends at any given time is something special about UNH that you can’t find anywhere else. Image result for main st unh

2. You get to support your school alongside 15,000 other wildcats.

The University of New Hampshire is also home to the greatest school spirit of any college. On any given day, you can walk through campus and see tons of students dressed in UNH apparel. They are proud of where they attend school. Game days are also no joke here in Wildcat Country. You are guaranteed to have an amazing time supporting your school if you choose to attend a hockey game, football game, or another sporting event during your years here. There is also a catpack organization here at UNH makes sure that the student section is always loud and exciting for everyone to hear.

3. You are part of the UNH family.

Thirdly, there is no doubt that the UNH community resembles a giant family. It is important to have this feeling with you throughout college. You are away from home and the familiarity of your family. Here at UNH, there is no struggle in feeling at home. From the students, to the faculty and staff, a friendly vibe floats throughout the whole campus, making it much more enjoyable to live and to learn here for four years. Image result for unh family

4. A perfect location!

While the campus is located in the tiny town of Durham, students have access to just about anything they need. With Main St. running through campus, it is easy to feel like you’re in a town with a homey feeling. However, if you’re more of a city person, the train is just down the road (right on campus) for students to ride if they wanted to spend the day in Boston. Portsmouth is also just about twenty minutes away, and the white mountains are only about an hour outside of campus. UNH is located in a convenient spot and guarantees that students will always have fun weekend plans. Image result for unh location

5. Feels like home.

Although many students are hundreds or even thousands of miles away from home, UNH has a way of making everyone feel that they are right where they belong. A beautiful campus located in a small town is guaranteed to make every student feel safe and secure through their college years. Before you know it, you will be a UNH alumni and be grateful to have spent so much time here at the University of New Hampshire.Image result for unh home
