The University of New Hampshire is known for many things, one of them being the amazing food available to students. There are lots of great things about the dining halls around the UNH campus and students should take full advantage of these things during their time at UNH. Here are 5 perks of the dining halls at the University of New Hampshire.
1. There are 3 spread out around campus.
This means that there is always a dining hall nearby no matter where you are on campus. If you live in Stoke Hall, or had to run by Smith Hall to complete an errand, take a trip to Stillings dining hall for lunch. If you are cramming in the library all day for your big exam, Holloway Commons is about a 2 minute walk away. Finally, if you are a first year living in Williamson or Christensen, Philbrook will be your favorite.
2. There is ALWAYS something healthy to eat.
If you are trying to avoid gaining any weight during your college months, or if you are just the type of person who enjoys eating healthy, UNH can help you with that. There is always a healthy choice for a meal at all of the dining halls, so students are able to stick to their plan of being healthy in school!
3. Late night dining hours.
Philbrook Dining Hall offers students late night access to the dining hall to ensure that everyone is able to have something for dinner, even if they spend a little too much time in the library. Philbrook also has a cafe located right inside that is open until 1am, filled with a sandwich bar and other essentials for students.
4. Union Court.
Union Court is great for students who are short on time during their months away at college. If you would like a quick and healthy bite to eat, Union Court is always an option for UNH students. With many different wraps, salads, and other healthy lunches to choose from, running late is not so bad at lunch time here at the University of New Hampshire!
5. A Dunkin’ Donuts on campus.
Although this does not technically apply to UNH dining halls, it is located right outside of Holloway Commons, and is great for students who love their Dunkin’ coffee every morning. With Dunkin’ on campus, not having a car to drive yourself to your morning coffee is not so bad, and you can even use dining dollars– what is better?
Overall, UNH makes sure that students are fed and happy during their time on campus. With convenient, healthy options, you can’t go wrong with UNH dining. Take advantage of all of these perks and have a great semester!
