The University of New Hampshire likes to make sure that every student has something to do that they will enjoy. Many students enjoy playing sports, and luckily, UNH has lots of intramural sports to choose from. In fact, here are 5 intramural sports at UNH that you may not have known about.
If you were one of those kids during grade school that looked forward to dodgeball during gym class, then this might be the intramural sport for you. Getting together with people who enjoy it as much as you will make it even better! It is unique, and made for students that just want to get a little exercise and have a little fun!
A lot of people may not know what this is, but if you do and you’re interested in playing, UNH makes this possible. Get out on the ice and help yourself stay in shape while also having some fun. Get together with people that enjoy the same sport as you and make some new friends over intramural broomball.
3. Table Tennis
Believe it or not, there are table tennis tournaments that happen at the University of New Hampshire – and they get pretty serious. This intermural is for all of you talented ping-pong players. If you are looking for some fun with some new friends, venture out and try some table tennis.
Although the UNH hockey team is one of the bigger focuses around campus, that does not mean that you have to give hockey up if you were not a D1 recruit. Sign up for intramural hockey to enjoy some playing time at the Whittemore Center, and take part of a team with other hockey players that love the game.
If you’re looking to play some pool with friends, and enjoy a little competition, join intramural Billiards. This could be the perfect opportunity to meet new people, or even brush up on your billiards skill. Get involved, have fun and have a relaxed weekend with some friends, or get a little competitive through the tournaments.
The University of New Hampshire has a lot to offer students regarding intramural activities. No matter what your interests are, there is always something for every student. Get involved and get back into doing something you enjoy, and make lots of new friends in the process!
