Students at the University of New Hampshire are lucky enough to have Main St running right through campus. This street is filled with great restaurants and stores that every student should experience before they graduate. Here are 5 places to visit on Main St as a UNH student.
1. Durham House of Pizza.
This one is a given, as you have probably heard this many times before. If you attend UNH, it is a necessity that you have a slice of pizza at DHOP. Great pizza at a low price, this is a perfect place to grab a bite to eat with your friends if you are sick of dining hall food and are looking to venture out.
2. The Candy Shoppe.
This is the store for students with a sweet tooth. Different kinds of ice cream and all of the candy you can think of is sold here and is sold for a good price. Stop in on a warm day to get yourself some ice cream, or grab yourself some chocolate if you’re having a craving.
This restaurant is where a lot of the upperclassmen like to eat with their friends. This pub style restaurant sells award winning burgers and is sure to make anyone want to come back for more. Try this restaurant with some friends when you are looking for a night out and away from the dining halls.
4. The Dairy Bar.
Although this is on the other side of Main St, it is still something every UNH student should try. During the warmer months, the Dairy Bar sells excellent shakes and ice cream, and in the winter months, lots of yummy breakfast food. Catching a train out of town for the weekend? Grab a bite to eat at the Dairy Bar first!
5. Town & Campus.
Town & Campus sells lots of UNH apparel for cheaper than the bookstore located in the Memorial Union Building. Take a walk down to Town & Campus and buy yourself some UNH gear and explore other accessories for your dorm room and other college necessities.
